I watched "A Night with the King" two years ago when we are on a bus during a mission trip to Japan (that's a mouthful). You never quite catch everything when you watch things on a bus...in any case, I just watched it with my wife this morning. It's pretty interesting. It's not totally accurate, especially at the end of the movie.

I think the thing that I found most interesting was the connection of Haman (the evil prince) to King Agag of the Amalekites. I will have to look that one up to see if they are truly connected. If they are connected then it once again brings to light the failures of King Saul and how it almost cost the Jews their lives.

Did you know that the name of God is not used a single time in the book of Esther? There are many theories and it also was one reason why some scholars thought it should be excluded from the Bible. I think it is a phenomenal story that shows how God is at work behind the scenes even though He may not be involved.
