First week in the States

Sorry about the title. I couldn’t think of anything else that more accurately described what we have been doing lately.

What a week! If you were to take a whirlwind, multiply it by 100 and then translate that into schedule overload, you would have a good picture what we have been doing the last week. I am trying to count up the number of couples that we met with this last week and the number is around 60. That's a lot of people to meet with in just five and a half days. I must say, every visit and meeting was OUTSTANDING! We loved sharing with people and catching up. The essence of a home coming (however brief) was captivated in our trip to Dallas.

We were sad to leave after only having just arrived, it seemed. But that is the nature of these trips. We arrived in Atlanta last night and frankly we were dragging like wet noodles. We saw a bit of Atlanta with our hosts and then we came to the house for a quick nap. Suffice to say, we were in serious need of rest. I think we hit the sack at about 10:00 last night (the first time in over three months) and we slept till eight (another first in a long time). We feel so much better but the schedule is now picking up and we are off to our next round of meetings here in the Atlanta area.

One thing I have been reminded of this past week is the great importance of having a solid church family. We have been blessed these last three years to attend and participate in a church that we LOVE. Pantego Bible Church, is for us the greatest church we have ever attended. God put us together three years ago and since then it has been one story after another of God working in and through us together. I highly recommend taking the plunge and getting involved as we did. We did fight getting involved at first, but once we did, our lives changed.

Contemplate how your life may be different if you were to become more involved at your church if you are not already.
