Carnations are red...Violets are blue...or something like that.

Have you ever wondered where personal contact truly begins to blossom? Let me rephrase; when does contact with someone truly begin to plant a seed of friendship? One thing has been very clear lately and it is that people will not come to the church without there being a relationship in place. I think we thought initially that many more people would come to the church simply because we would be teaching about a topic they wanted to hear and then once they were there we could begin to form relationships...doesn't seem to be the case. Therefore we are adding into our plan different initiatives that will help us become known and allow us to get to know others.

Today we are handing out carnations to all the mothers we encounter throughout Barajas in lieu of Mother's Day (which is a week earlier here and always falls on May 1st, not necessarily a Sunday). Later tonight we are going to play soccer with a bunch of the guys in Barajas. Looking forward to it all!
