In the last couple days I have seen stories that are surprising. Engadget has some shocking images of people who have been injured by the new Wii (Nintendo's new gaming console). Some of these I guess can be explained. The new feature of this console is that the controllers allow the player to move as if he is really in the game further getting the player involved in the game (finally! a way for gamers to lose calories and still never leave the living room). For instance one person hit a piece of furniture while moving the controllers. However, the one where the girl dislocated her knee trying to spike a tennis ball...or the one where the guy gave his girlfriend the biggest black eye I have ever seen by getting so involved in the game that he swung and hit her...this is downright weird.

To top it all off, Channel 6 reports that in Jacksonville, thieves dug a tunnel to get into a Gamestop. When they arrived they realized that the store had no PlayStation 3's in the boxes so they took 13 XBox 360 consoles instead!! Apparently this does not even phase the cops. I wonder if they have a gamers anonymous...
